Mortgage Loan Originator
Use industry knowledge and sales strengths to find clients, generate leads and convert those opportunities to loans. Develop long-term relationships with clients and referral partners, creating an email friendly database that will allow for continuous marketing long-term.
Essential Job Functions
- Know and successfully apply the principles of lending basics, compliance, loan documentation, lending guidelines and computer technology
- Develop a consistent client base of realtors and borrowers to gain leads and referrals
- Meets with customers during various stages of the loan process and keep them up to date
- Create and make face-to-face sales presentations to individuals or groups
- Ensure the customer is placed in the loan program which fits the best interest of the customer’s overall goals and expectations of the loan
- Educate and inform the customer of the terms of the loan
- Complete all loan applications thoroughly before sending to Processor
- Responsible for timely, accurate and complete loan file submissions to Underwriting
- Develops and maintains successful relationship with business referral sources
- Ensures exceptional customer experience by overseeing loan process from origination to close and providing on-going communication to clients
- Invest in career through e-learning sites, seminars, business courses, literature and coaching
- Performs other duties as required and assigned

Job Specifications
- Sales experience of 3-5 years
- Mortgage experience preferred
- Software competence including loan origination software, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet and Outlook
- Active Driver’s License as travel is required
- Active Loan Originator License required
