Booths ($100 per for-profit, $50 per non-profit site) for CSA farms will be available to sell shares for the upcoming season as well as booths for other vendors who have an interest in increasing awareness for the community of good food, especially fresh food. Couch potato races ($25 entry fee), a corn hole tournament ($25 team entry fee), and free activities such as potato sack races, bobbing for apples, and orange bowling will be included in the event to increase the activity level of participants in the community.

The event itself will include an outdoors mini-market of vendor booths, and we picture the market being much like an old-fashioned city square, with tents full of vendors selling their goods.
In another area of the church site, we will have and activities set up for people to get active and have fun with food-based games. The “couch potato” races will be the last event held because they will require a little bit of space. Our idea for the race is for people to form teams of 4-6 people, decorate an old couch, and have one person on the couch while others push towards the goal. The corn hole tournament will run throughout the four hours, depending on the number of teams who participate.
We are looking for vendors to rent booth space, as well as for business interested in sponsoring Veggie Con. Anyone interested in more information can contact me karriebrown@thepantry.gr or by calling 616-455-9411 ext. 4.Date and Time
