Information on the Wyoming Public Schools millage proposals:
WPS Sinking Fund Renewal
This ten-year renewal would maintain the district’s sinking fund at the current rate of 0.4595 mills with no tax increase. These funds support building repairs, school safety, security, and technology upgrades, helping us keep facilities safe, functional, and up to date. Continued support allows us to make improvements that keep our schools healthy, secure, and welcoming for students and staff.

WPS Bond Proposal
This proposal seeks $29.75 million in bond funding, with a net tax rate decrease of 0.15 mills compared to the current rate. The bond would complete the final phase of our long-term master facility plan. Projects include modernizing facilities, improving student learning environments, reducing long-term maintenance costs, adding air conditioning and secure entrances in all remaining school buildings, remodeling elementary media centers, creating additional learning spaces, and constructing a gymnasium addition at Gladiola, while also lowering the district’s overall debt millage rate.
Kent ISD Regional Enhancement Millage Renewal
This proposal would restore and renew a total of 0.9 mills countywide for ten years. For Wyoming, the funding supports classroom instruction, educational programming, student opportunities, student services, and instructional supplies. These dollars are shared across all districts in Kent ISD, providing equitable support for students countywide and giving WPS consistent funding to strengthen opportunities for learning.
