Hot dogs from Yesterdog, cold drinks, and real talk about dementia? That’s one Father’s Day worth showing up for, and the Courtyard at Wyoming is hosting it. The senior living community is holding a Father’s Day Dogs and Brews event on Monday, June 22, at noon, and families are invited to pull up a seat.

The free event takes place at the community’s Pre-Opening Welcome Center at 4763 Wilson Ave. SW, Suite C, in Grandville, and features Yesterdog hot dogs and light refreshments alongside a candid conversation about dementia and what families should know as they plan ahead. Guests also take home a Father’s Day gift.

An Introduction to Cost Drivers, Emerging Issues and How Utilities Are Regulated in Michigan

Michigan Sustainable Business Forum is hosting a webinar to educate its members and stakeholders on the state’s increasingly complex energy market.  The expert panel will introduce how utilities are regulated in the state, the factors that have historically driven local markets, and what sustainability professionals and business leaders should know about current events.

• Erik Nordman, Associate Professor and Director of the Institute of Public Utilities at Michigan State University
• Mike Troupos, Vice President, Foresight Management

• MPSC 101:  Understand how the Michigan Public Service Commission regulates utilities in the state, including the process by which utility rates and standards are determined and its unique community of attorneys and advocates.

Young Pros 4-Part Financial Wellness Series

Money talks… but most of us would rather not listen. That’s why we’re making financial wellness a little less intimidating (and a lot more fun).

Starting Monday, September 30th, the South Kent Young Professionals Committee is teaming up with Arbor Financial Credit Union to launch a four-part Financial Wellness Series—one session each quarter, designed to help you tackle the money topics that actually matter:

• 9/30 – How to Maximize Your Income through Your Employee Benefits

• 1/27/26 – Budgeting and Credit Management

• 4/28/26 – How to Prepare to Buy a Home

• 7/28/26 – 401K and Retirement Planning

Each session runs from 5:30–7:30 pm at 2757 44th St SW, Wyoming, MI, and includes food and brews to soften the sting of talking budgets, benefits, and big life purchases.

National Night Out – Wyoming Kids Back-to-School Support Event

Join us for Wyoming National Night Out on Tuesday, August 4, from 5:30–8:00 PM as we come together to support local families and help students start the 2026/2027 school year with confidence.

This family-friendly evening is all about building community, creating fun memories, and making sure Wyoming kids have access to the essentials they need before heading back to school. Guests can look forward to an evening filled with activities, community partners, giveaways, food options, and opportunities to connect with neighbors, local businesses, and organizations that care about our kids.

Families attending the event will have access to back-to-school support including backpacks, school supplies, hygiene kits, haircut opportunities, snacks, and food vouchers as available. Every child who attends will receive support through the full sponsorship package, thanks to the generosity of donors, sponsors, and community partners.

Event Highlights May Include

Families can enjoy a variety of fun and helpful activities throughout the evening, including:

• Backpack and school supply distribution

• Free back-to-school haircut opportunities

• Hygiene kits and personal care supplies

• Snacks and food voucher support

• Bounce houses

• Yard games and kid-friendly activities
